Global Children's Organization is an NGO
dedicated to helping children of violence and war have a respite at safe and healing summer camps organized around the globe. Judith Jenya (pictured here at a GCO camp with a war orphan on Badija Island in Croatia) is the inimitable founder of the organization.
Fundraising Coffee Table Book: The children pictured in Child of War came from Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia to attend a unique two-week camp during the Siege of Sarajevo. Held on a beautiful and serene island outside of Korčula in Croatia, the kids relished music and art classes and learned vital tolerance skills. They also had a chance to do one thing most of them had never done before: SWIM. The exquisite photography is by Julie Ann Fineman.
